ENTR0PY is an independent clothing label. Our code draws each design from a public number, and we choose what's printed.

#01 is open until 20 November 2026.See #01 →

How #01 was made

the number

Every batch starts from a pulse of the NIST Randomness Beacon, a public random number that is signed and published every minute.

Nobody, including us, knows a pulse before it is published.

#01 uses pulse #1,973,147, published on 6 October 2026 at 19:53 UTC. The seed is made from the start of the number.

the code

When we start a batch, our software fetches the pulse, makes the seed and draws a set of designs on its own. The seed sets each design's pattern, family and inks.

The pulse is the only random input. Everything after it is deterministic: the same seed and the same version of the code always produce the same files.

The code is private. You can check the number.

what we choose

We look at what the code drew and choose which designs to print, on which garment, in which colour and where.

For #01 we chose three. We don't edit the designs themselves.

the rules

  1. The same pulse and code always give the same designs.
  2. Nobody edits a design after the code draws it. We only choose which ones to print.
  3. No AI draws a batch. Some of the pattern families were written with AI's help, as code.
  4. We only show designs that we print.
  5. When a batch closes, its seed retires and its designs are never printed again.
